The University of Missouri Extension Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City have teamed up with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and The National Golf Club of Kansas City to create the Platte County Community Garden. The Garden will serve as a place for residents of Platte County (and beyond) to enjoy the benefits of gardening in a group setting. The Master Gardeners will use three of the 33 plots to demonstrate vegetable production options. For 2011, the Master Gardeners have decided to install an Asian Garden as well as a traditional garden. The garden is administered by the YMCA through its Parkville Community Center. If you’re interested in signing up for a garden plot, call them at (816) 505-2622.

Note: All of the plots for the 2011 Summer season are reserved.
